Extends an invitation to Congressman Hultgren to join
Montgomery, IL –Democrat Matt Brolley today announced that he would be holding a health care town hall with residents of the district. The event is free, and open to the public and will be held this Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
“Everywhere I go in the district, people want to talk about what is going to happen with their health care,” said Brolley. “And they are desperate for representation that will listen to them, and hear their concerns. So if Congressman Hultgren won’t do that, I will.”
Congressman Hultgren voted to repeal and replace Obamacare with a plan that cause millions of Americans to lose their health care. The plan would also allow health insurance companies to once again discriminate based on preexisting conditions, and to charge seniors thousands more in premiums.
To date, Congressman Hultgren has not held a public town hall to listen to his constituents.
“I invite Congressman Hultgren to join me at this health care town hall,” Brolley said. “I’m happy to bring citizens to him, so they can listen to both of us and our ideas on how to fix our health care system.”
Brolley also vowed to gather the health care stories from people across the district, and deliver them to Congressman Hultgren. “If Congressman Hultgren won’t come and listen to people’s stories, then we will bring those stories directly to him.”
